Dear Cajon Valley Union School District Families,
We are excited to announce that the Cajon Valley Union School District has developed its own 7th and 8th-grade sexual health curriculum after careful consideration and collaboration with staff, parents, counselors, and administrators. Over the past six months, our dedicated curriculum team has worked to co-create a curriculum that not only aligns with California Health Standards for 7th and 8th grade, and the California Healthy Youth Act (CHYA), but also reflects the values and needs of our CVUSD community.
As part of our commitment to transparency and community engagement, we are now offering a broader preview of the curriculum. Please scroll down to view the curriculum, click on each topic to reveal slidedeck, student resources and teacher guides.
It's important to emphasize that this curriculum will only be provided to 7th and 8th-grade students each year (no other grades).
To make your opt out selection online, please login to Parent Portal and navigate to My Forms โ Sexual Health Opt Out for your student(s)(not yet available for 25/26 school year). Alternatively, sign and return the form at the bottom of the page to your school's front office by April 10, 2026.
