Hillsdale Huskies!!!!

    Welcome to Hillsdale! We would like to take this opportunity to welcome your child to our team. We are very excited about the upcoming school year and will do our best to meet the needs of every child in a safe, positive learning environment. Transitioning from elementary school to a more independent middle school setting can be challenging for many students. 

One way to ensure success this year is through communication. We will reinforce the importance of personal responsibility, organization, cooperation, effort, and attitude. All students are expected to do their personal best. Being clear on what we expect of our students will alleviate any confusion and will create a sense of success from the beginning. There are a few crucial tools that will help your child be successful in 6th grade.

Suggested Materials (by Friday or Monday, if possible):

•  One Heavy Duty Binder (approx. 2in.) or TWO smaller binders (one Eng/History & one Math/Science)

• Spirals/Compositions book

  • TWO Spirals- one for History (Cumming) and one for Science (Mr. Marsh)

  • ONE Composition Book- English (Cumming)

• Pens & Pencils (mechanical are ok-consider .7 lead)

• Highlighters (at least three colors)

• Wide-ruled binder paper

•  One pkg colored pencils

• A chapter book 

• HMS Planner (will receive one at school)
