I received my Masters in Education and my PPS credential from Point Loma Nazarene University. Some of my interests include reading, spending time with my nieces and nephews, taking my dog to the beach, and traveling. Ms. Monica Roque

7th Grade Counselor

roquem@cajonvalley.net

My name is Ms. Roque, and I am the 7th grade counselor this year at Los Coches Creek Middle School. While this is my third year as a school counselor, I am not new to the field of education. I’ve been a teacher for over a decade with most of my time spent in the middle grades. I’ve had the opportunity to work with all grade levels from K-12, but middle school holds a special place in my heart, which is why I am thrilled to be here at LCC! I was raised in San Diego County, and I feel fortunate to have grown up in such a beautiful area. In my spare time, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family, friends, and my beloved dog, Bella. I am so excited for this school year, and I look forward to working with all of the amazing 6th graders here at LCC.

Hi Everyone! I’m Darsi Gonzales, your Restorative Counselor here at Los Coches Creek Middle School. I feel so lucky to be part of this amazing school community and on such a gorgeous campus. This is my second year as a school counselor and my first year living in sunny San Diego County after moving from the Inland Empire. I earned my Bachelor’s at CSU San Bernardino and my Master’s in Education plus my PPS credential at the University of Massachusetts. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me outdoors, working out, or planning my next travel adventure. I’m also a total foodie, so I’m always looking for new spots to eat bonus points if it comes with good company and lots of laughs!
