My teaching career began here at Fuerte in 2000.  Over the years I have taught kindergarten-fourth grade, spending most of my career in hte fourth grade reading position. I am so excited to now serve Fuerte as the Literacy Facilitator, a role that allows me to work with every teacher and student on honing our literacy skills.I have a passion for reading, and my goal is to inspire all of our scholars to be lifelong “wild” readers.  I graduated from San Diego State with a bachelor's degree in Business Management and I completed my master’s in Education at San Diego Christian College.
