Cajon Valley Receives Statewide Honor for Communication

Cajon Valley Union School District earned multiple awards at the 2022 California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA) Excellence in Communication Awards for recent efforts in engaging and informing the Cajon Valley community and employees.

CVUSD team earned three awards from CalSPRA, a statewide organization that promotes better public understanding of, commitment to, and support for public education.

“It is extremely exciting to honor [district/COE/agency] with this award,” said CalSPRA President Matthew Jennings.  “CalSPRA members across California helped lead our school communities through the challenges of this pandemic, providing effective communication in the face of uncertainty and polarization. Now, more than ever, successful communication is at the heart of public education. This award-winning example is just one way [district/COE/agency] provides excellent communication work every day.”

CalSPRA’s Excellence in Communication Awards program recognizes superior achievement in meeting strategic goals through high-quality communications and public relations programs. Each entry is evaluated by communication professionals on the overall excellence of the entry. Awards were presented at CalSPRA’s Annual Conference and Awards Banquet on March 10, 2022 in Sacramento.

“Now, more than ever, successful communication is at the heart of public education, said CalSPRA President Matthew Jennings. “CalSPRA members across California helped lead our school communities through the challenges of this pandemic, providing effective communication in the face of uncertainty and polarization. These award-winning examples show how SDCOE provides excellent communication work for a variety of audiences every day.”
