Mrs. Linda Hirschmiller
My name is Linda Hirschmiller. This is my 17th year teaching and my 16th year here at Johnson. I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Studies, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a specialization in Mathematics, and a Masters of Science in Reading and Literacy. I take pride in my ability to adjust my teaching to meet the needs of every individual student in my classroom, and I continually challenge them to take risks, and believe in themselves. I believe that every child can and will learn, and I will work tirelessly to make their learning rigorous, exciting, and meaningful.
My Husband and I have three adult children. My oldest son is an independent contractor. My husband is an animal Rescue Specialist, and my two youngest children are both Veterinary Technicians. Our family spends a LOT of time caring for sick and injured animals. I also enjoy hiking, sewing, drawing, reading, snorkeling and spending time outdoors.
I chose to become a teacher because I have personally experienced the impact a passionate teacher can have on a family, and I want to have that impact on other families. A highly dedicated teacher, from this school, had a positive impact on my family many years ago, and that influence led me here. I love teaching, forming relationships, and inspiring others to be strong, independent, confident learners. I want to give my students the tools they need to grow into happy, healthy, and successful adults.
