Mr. Leonardo C. daSilva
Leo daSilva is a band and choir director from New Jersey. He holds degrees in voice and theatre performance, with a minor in dance from New Jersey City University. He earned his teaching credential in music education during his graduate work in French Horn through St. Peter’s University.
As a performer Leo has been blessed to perform in Germany with the touring cast of Evita & Grease, at Jazz at Lincoln Center with Dr. Deborah Simpon-King as a soloist with the NYC choral ensemble, Ember as well as at Carnegie Hall. His other notable regional credits include: Seussical the Musical, Miss Saigon, Funny Thing…, West Side Story, Marriage of Figaro, and as soloist for Mozart’s Requiem Mass at New Jersey City Univeristy.
Leo has worked as a music director, director, and choreographer in the schools since 2009 where he began with Seussical the Musical. Since then he has either music directed or choreographer for over mount 30 productions both educationally and professionally.
