State and Federal EV Grants

The Cajon Valley Union School District replaced its 5 oldest diesel warehouse box trucks with new, fully electric (zero emissions) Mack trucks powered by SEA electric batteries. The trucks are used for daily warehouse and foodservice delivery routes throughout the district, and were purchased with help from the following funding sources:

• California's Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP)
• Environmental Protection Agency Diesel Emission Reduction Act (DERA) National Grant
• Kitchen Infrastructure and Training (KIT) funds
