Summer Terms & Conditions
Summer EDP Terms and Conditions
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Please note, participation in Camp Cajon is subject to the terms and conditions listed below and on our website at www.cajonvalley.net/edp. Our goal is to maintain an engaging, safe, and secure environment for all students.
Enrollment & Attendance—There are 2 sessions. Attendance is required for the duration of the sessions. Students with excessive unexcused absences will be dropped from the program without further notice, and the spot will be given to another family.
Sunset Late Pick-Up Fees— Students who are picked up past our closing time (5:00 pm) will be charged as follows:
A $1 per minute late pickup fee will be charged for the first 15 minutes, and thereafter a $2 per minute fee will be charged. Repeated late pickups will result in loss of privilege to participate in the program.
- 1st offense: a verbal warning from EDP staff that includes signing the late fee form and paying the late pickup fee charges.
- 2nd offense: a written warning, signing the late fee form, and paying the late pickup fee charges.
- 3rd offense: suspended from the EDP program for 5 business days.
- 4th offense: student will be dropped for the remainder of the summer program.
Online payments can be made at www.EZChildtrack.com/Cajon/Parent
Daily Student Expectations:
- Classroom Rules & Student Expectations: Positive validations are used to reinforce desired behaviors. Our goal is for every student to experience success in the program. However, with continued disruptive behavior and/or violation of the safety and/or health of other children and/or staff, children will lose the privilege of participating in the program.
- Please understand that student behavior situations will be kept confidential and will not be discussed in the presence of others. All consequences given to students are also kept confidential from the involved parties.
- Cell Phones: Phones will NOT be allowed out at any time. If students need to contact someone, they may ask to do so. Students need to participate in the group activities. Spending time on social media, games, or socializing (texting/messaging/phone calls for the purpose of socializing; this does not include time-sensitive questions) hinders their ability to be present and participate with the group.
- Chromebooks: Students will NOT be allowed on YouTube or videos; students MUST be on school-appropriate games/websites.
- Supervision: Students must remain within eyesight of a staff member and/or sports coach at all times. If students need to leave their assigned group, they must first ask a Camp Cajon staff member for permission. This ensures that staff know where students are at all times.
- Our staff are actively communicating behavior expectations for all students. Please talk to your student about our 4 Key Respect Rules:
- Respect Yourself
- Respect Others
- Respect Materials
- Take responsibility for your actions
Staff Intentions: The rules are in place to create structure and expectations at all of our sites. We want the students to know what is expected of them every day and throughout activities. We will be able to be safe together, have fun with games and other activities, and get the most from our time at Camp Cajon.
Parent Conduct: Mutual respect and professional relationships must be maintained between parents and staff. It is not our intent to prevent parents from expressing their views, but we must avoid scenes that upset the children, disrupt our activities, or adversely affect the respect for and rapport between children and staff. Violation of this standard may result in termination of the child from the program.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions/concerns at all.
Thank you!
