Yes, Camp Cajon is only offered to students currently enrolled within our school district. The exception is employees of CVUSD that work summer hours.

What age does my child need to be to attend Camp Cajon?

We are accepting students who are currently enrolled in Tk-5th grade. We will not be accepting students in 6th- 8th grade. This decision is made based on our Extended Opportunity Grants Funds and Guidelines.

Do we have to commit to all weeks of Camp?

The camp will be categorized into 2 sessions. Only sign up for the sessions you can attend. If you commit to a session, attendance is mandatory since this is a grant-funded Camp.

Can a parent volunteer during Camp Cajon?

If a parent is working directly with a certificated staff member, they will check in every day with a valid ID through the Raptor system located in the front office.

Can a parent work at Camp Cajon?

We hire from our current CVUSD employees.

Is my child required to bring his/her Chromebook to Camp Cajon?

Yes, second grade and higher will be required to use Chromebooks for the Core Program portion of the Camp.

How much does Camp Cajon and EDP Cost?

Please view the EDP Camp Cajon SUMMER BILLING CALENDAR 2026 for these details. You may choose which session you would like to attend. Fees are prepaid and will be due on June 17th and July 13th. These fees are charged at a flat 5-day weekly rate, including single-day holidays. All fees need to be paid before attending Camp.

What are the Sunrise and Sunset (EDP) Program hours?

Camp Sunrise will be offered at the sites (listed above) that start at 9:30 am. Camp Sunset will be available at all sites hosting the camp until 5:00 pm. All students must be picked up by the program closing at 5 pm. Please call for pick-up/drop-off. The phone number is on the site on the fence. Late fees will be applied to students who cannot be picked up on time from their programs. These late fees are budgeted for these instances when staff need to stay past their contracted hours to tend to students.

Can my student(s) go to Sunrise and Sunset (EDP) before or after Camp Cajon?

Yes, when registration is open, you will be able to select Sunrise and Sunset Camp Cajon. They must be enrolled in Camp Thrive (the main four hours of Camp) to attend either.

A free morning breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be available for students attending camp the full day. Students may bring a snack to eat during a class break, and a full water bottle is recommended for each day of camp.
