Principal’s Message The staff at Cuyamaca Elementary School would like to welcome you to the Cuyamaca Web-site. The information provided will assist you in understanding our teaching philosophy and the many activities at Cuyamaca. Cuyamaca is a Professional Learning Community (PLC) site. This means that teachers continue to learn about their profession while working together with other teachers for the single goal of improving student achievement. We know that parents are an important part to the success of our children and to that end we welcome you to visit the school. More importantly, we encourage you to become involved in your school by volunteering in the classroom or by working in our parent center. Get involved in our PTA, School Site Council or our Bilingual Advisory Committee (BAC). Get to know your child’s teacher by visiting the classroom. Get to know the principal. I hear he is a nice person. Every person working at Cuyamaca is working for you and your child.
